Certificates of Deposit (CDs)
A Certificate of Deposit (CD) is a short to medium-term, FDIC-insured investment. Interest is determined by the minimum amount deposited into the CD and the term.
CDs are beneficial for those who have extra money sitting in a Checking or Savings Account that they may not need for a certain period of time. CD interest rates are typically greater than checking or savings rates, and are a great way to put money aside for a future vacation, extra holiday cash, or just to have your money in a safe place for a longer period of time.
At Heritage Bank, we offer CDs with various minimum opening balances and terms to meet your specific needs.
- 31-day Certificate* - Interest is credited to the account at maturity.
- 91-day to 60-month Certificates* - Interest is compounded and credited to the account monthly.
- 30-month Opt-Up Certificates* - If rates go up during the term of this CD, you may request a one-time rate increase.
* penalty for early withdrawal.
