Because it is a fixed-amount, electronic transfer that recurs on set timeframe, ACH is an incredibly efficient system for employers. Not to mention your employees will appreciate the convenience of direct deposit.
We use the ACH (Automated Clearing House) Network transfer system. It provides for interbank clearing of electronic payments for participating financial institutions. The network is governed by operating rules and guidelines developed by the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA). The batch-based processing provided by the ACH allows for cheaper, faster and more secure transactions than processing individual paper checks.
