Having been born and raised in Central Illinois, Sharon knows the importance of a high level of customer service. “I keep the customer in mind throughout the process, from looking at products and rates to the service they receive after the loan is closed.”
With over 15 years in the mortgage lending industry, she began as a tax/insurance secretary at a Savings and Loan, then became a processor/closer in a larger mortgage department. She has done mortgage origination for Heritage for almost five years, and is now Assistant Vice President of the Mortgage Lending Department.
Her advice to first time homebuyers or those looking to refinance? “Make sure you have your credit in order and keep it that way,” she says.

Linda came out of retirement to sign on with Heritage Bank. “I missed working with my clients and the realtors. It gives me such joy to see people get excited about their new homes.”
As she finances mortgage home loans, Linda strives to make sure her customers are aware of the products and services available and will work with them to make sure they find the one that’s best suited for their needs.

A life-long Peorian, he was the president and founder of Citizen’s Mortgage Services for 19 years, and believes the best advice to give someone looking for a mortgage is to seek out a knowledgeable lender who will have your best interest at heart.

Processors
Shelly Windsor
Mortgage Loan
Administrative Assistant
309.681.3800 x5423
With six years of banking experience, Shelly knows that buying a house is often one of the biggest investments a person will make in their lifetime. As a processor, Shelly ensures that all closing documents are in order, and organizes the file to make the closing process easy and efficient. “Our mortgage department truly cares about our customers,” she says. “We will bend over backwards to get your loan approved. In most cases, the approval is done here at Heritage Bank, so the process is that much faster.”

Kay Ulrich
Mortgage Loan
Administrative Assistant
309.681.3800 x5418
Kay sees the loan application as a puzzle that she feels fortunate to get to put together on a daily basis. “Sometimes I have all the right pieces, and other times they’re odd-shaped and a challenge to put together. But the completed puzzle results in a satisfied customer.” What makes processing unique at Heritage, she says, is the on-sight underwriting that gives the mortgage department the ability to obtain immediate approval. This tells Kay exactly what she needs from the borrower in order to get loan approval.

Rebekah Matheny
Mortgage Loan
Administrative Assistant
309.681.3800 x5433
During a typical day, you’ll find Rebekah processing and closing a variety of loans, ensuring that all details are taken care of properly. She says that she “enjoys being part of a phenomenal team that is dedicated to finding the best loan to fit each customer’s needs and walking them through the process of buying a new home or refinancing their current one.” During her three years in the mortgage field, Rebekah has noticed a trend to more paperless processing, which reduces underwriting time for some loans.
